UNC Charlotte’s Polycom Conference Service

The Polycom Sound Station is known for its unbeatable clarity and reliability for conference communications. It is ideal for the situation where many people gather around the table in a small to medium sized conference room. It makes 2-way conversations comfortable and natural without the clipping or fading problems associated with ordinary speakerphones.

Information Technology’s Voice Services has made this unit available for your use. The charge for this service is $50 which includes the phone line required and the Sound Station Unit ready for the day of your conference call. The day after your call we will return and disconnect the service.

Call Telecommunications @ 78985 to schedule the Sound Station for your conference call.
If you are calling a conference bridge or another individual number you can dial that directly from the Sound Station.
If you are sponsoring the call and have multiple people at multiple locations that need to be on the call, you will either have to have everyone call into UNC Charlotte’s conference bridge 704-687-3299 (please call to schedule) OR initiate the call from your digital phone, get all parties conference together and transfer them to the Sound Station (extension 76478).
